Anderson Cooper Was Onto Something

Anderson Cooper had the right idea in this LA Times interview:

LA Times: And your blog goes un-updated because you have a job.

AC: Frankly, I've not blogged as much this past couple of months. But there are days when you have time, there's days when you don't. The biggest mistake you can possibly make is having someone write something as if it's you, and we would never do that. There are some of these things I read elsewhere and I'm like really, huh, OK.

Exactly. The biggest mistake is having an editorial assistant blog for you. Jake Tapper at ABC News has no issue having assistants sign off with his initials.

Whether it's Theresa Cook, Lee Speigel or someone else, they all sign off as "jpt.' Talk about a lack of intellectual honesty in journalism.
